The Titan Challenge is a student centered event that epitomizes JA’s commitment to encouraging free-market competition and business knowledge.  The Titan Challenge utilizes JA’s patented Titan business simulation program to connect teams of students from regional high schools against one another as Directors of their own virtual companies

Students put into practice principles of business management and finance.  Teams make decisions on

capital investment,

research and development,

charitable giving,

as well as human resource management decisions.

The Simulation scores each team’s success based on their company performance and after several rounds an eventual winner is determined.

Each team has a sponsor in a local business or organization and also has a coach who helps prepare them for the contest and helps guide them during the competition itself.

(Many coaches find this competition just as exciting as the students!)

Below is a video of a previous year's competition, courtesy of Dow Chemical.  We encourage you to watch the video as it provides an excellent synopsis of the Titan Challenge and Junior Achievement.
